Church Show in Charlotte

Okay this concert was awhile ago but I still wanted to give a little review for those of you wanting to know how it was! I know Kiff gave you a little insight as to what she experienced unfortunately she couldn't stay for the whole show but she enjoyed what she saw. Well I headed to Coyote Joe's in Charlotte after work and met up with the crazy Church Choir people. I sat in the car for a while then headed to the line with my friends Lee and Adam. Lee actually runs a really amazing website ericchurchmusic.com where you can find everything Eric Church related. Check it out sometime! Anyways stood in line for a bit then finally the doors opened I got my spot up front like always so I can get the best shots of the ECB boys!

Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have an amazing opening band by the name of Jonathan Singleton and the Grove. I may have mentioned them in an earlier post but seriously check these guys out they are outstanding. Too bad they aren't touring with Eric anymore they really made the night enjoyable beside Eric of course. Definitely be sure to listen to Storms and Probably Just Time! Jonathan doesn't have a song on his new album I don't like be sure to pick it up when it is released. Here are a few pictures of the band!

Eric came on after Jonathan and was greeted by his hometown crowd. Eric grew up in a small town by the name of Granite Falls which is near Hickory, NC. At this point the place was packed everyone was screaming and yelling for the hometown boy! He played the good mix of old and new stuff and rocked the house. If you haven't heard Eric's music before do yourself a favor and get either one or both of his cds for yourself and listen to a great songwriter in the making. I have always said that a song sung by the writer themselves shows the true meaning of what is being sung. You see the emotion that goes into the song and you get a glimpse into the life and thoughts of the writer. Songwriting has always been something I was interested in learning more about. I have learned quite a bit through Eric about the entire writing process from beginning to end. After the show, hung out with friends talked to the guys in the band. Headed to the local waffle house listened to the cook yell at the waiters too funny! She was rough! Headed to the hotel to get a few winks of sleep before heading to South Carolina for a record store appearence and show at the Blindhorse for night two of excitement. Before I continue here are a few pictures of Eric and the ECB Boys!

Where have we been you may ask????
