Music Monday

Ohh yeah, we have been MIA (as giggles would say)... She also said that she went to church 5 times last week... Ahem, that would be her attending some Eric Church concerts... LOL (We will go to real church soon, my dear... :) ) She has some awesome pictures and I cannot wait to see them all... The black and whites are SWWWWEEEEEETTT!

Nonetheless, it is Music Monday and here is my entry... Since I have pretty much entered the world of Twilight in January, I have seen a lot of cool stuff that revolves around the movie, the series, and the actors... One thing that I realized of course as we all know is that Rob Pattinson is a great musician and he has some musical buddies from jolly ole London... One of those buddies is the guy that taught him how to play guitar and wrote "Let Me Sign"... After looking up Rob's music and listening, I had some definite favorites... I come to find out that my favorites had one thing in common... This gentleman:

Marcus Foster

He is excellent and I venture to say that (shhhhh... this is hard for me)... But, I enjoy him a tad more than even Rob... (hides under table) Take a listen... :) This is probably my favorite song of his.... with cool Twilight movie quotes added in... :) Have a good one!

Music Monday- Eric Church Edition

Congrats to Kiff for winning Edward!! HAHA we will have some fun with that soon!!! HAHAHA........ Anyways that another story!
Well I am back from a very long week with the Eric Church Band. Let's just say I have see all sides of the state of North Carolina following these boys. If you haven't gotten Eric's new CD Carolina, you are seriously missing out. It is completely different from his debut album "Sinners Like Me". It is so worth getting this CD. My all time favorite song has to be "Smoke A Little Smoke" which was written by Eric and his guitar players Jeff Hyde and Driver Williams. Two of the nicest people you could ever meet. I love these boys too death! As for my trip this past week, I started in Boone, Eric's Alma Mater, at the small bar called Legends. It was crazy with all the college kids, there was a good turnout for a Monday night. The boys rocked out like always. After the show, I headed home slept a couple hours and went to work. Day 2 of Church was in Winston Salem for the Tuesday CD release party. The crowd was a little more reserved this time around, they seriously could have pick things up a bit for the boys. I know the front row did!! After the show, I again headed home slept a few hours and got up for work. At this point, I have had maybe 8 hours of sleep the past two night. Wednesday after work I headed to the local Best Buy and bought Carolina. I was so proud of what I heard. All this time waiting and I was not disappointed with the result. I was blown away by the CD. The funky sound gives the CD a completely different feel from the first one. I have not taken it out yet. Seriously go out and buy the CD you will not be disappointed. Well after buying the CD, I headed to Kiff's place for a little Rock Band and ended up getting home around midnight. A few hours of sleep and off to work again. Here we go again, off to Raleigh for a Walmart signing and show at the The Lincoln Theater. The signing was quick, Eric sang two song acoustic and then started signing. I quickly told Eric I love the new CD and jetted off to the show. Got to the venue just before the big crowds came and luckily ended up second row. Let's just say the show was one of the most amazing I have seen so far and let's just say ;) I have been to quite a few over the last three years. The boys were just on that night. I hated for the show to be over. After the show, I hung out with friends and then headed home for a couple hours sleep. Got up late for work yikes! Headed out with all my gear for another day of Church. After work headed to Asheville, the show was good and the crowd was really into it. Every show in NC was sold out and filled to the brim with eager Eric Church Fans wanting an amazing show. Now I need to rest up for round two starting on the 14th. This lifestyle ain't killed me yet! I wouldn't miss this ride for anything!!! Check out this clip of my favorite song if you are interested!!

Twilight Tuesday- I won, I won... I won an Edward Stand Up!

I come home to find out that the Hot Topic phone call on my caller id was to inform me that I WON THE EDWARD STAND-UP at my local store! Yeaaahhhhhhhh, now I can display Edward in my living room in his life size form... LOL Oh my giggles, when you are done running around NC with the ECB this week maybe we can do something like this with my stand-up... You better start practicing your lines now... :) hehehehe Have a good one... :)

Twilight DVD Weekend

I think that I finally am caught up from my Twilight DVD weekend... The Hot Topic party that we went to was alright I suppose... We got the DVD and had to go and watch it... BUT, as surprising as it may be.... KIFF and GIGGLES fell ASLEEP during the movie even with the audio commentary on... Yes, it was funny, but we were gone... LOL I do love some of the comments made during the movie (especially the cookie one that Rob made about how he was talking about how he hates cookies... lol) Nonetheless, I was finally able to watch the movie last night and I still cannot believe that I can watch it whenever I want to... I wonder how many times I will watch it this week? lol

On to new news.... I see that Robert is going to be at the Kid's Choice Awards on Saturday... I see that the Rock is hosting and I could not resist putting this on the blog when I saw this... lol too funny :) Have a good one! :)

Never Think Thursday

Well tonight is the big night!! The Eric Church Band debut on network television!!!!!!! Eric and the boys will appear on the Jimmy Fallon Show in a few short hours. I can't believe things have come this far. I am so proud of them! If you get a chance to tune in do so or check out the video later on Jimmy Fallon's page in the next few days. SOOOOOO, Kiff what Twilight party are we headed to tomorrow girl!!!!!! I can't wait to see it again in the comfort of my home and whenever I want!!!! Still can't believe it's still playing in the theaters we so could have gone to see it tonight. Looked at the appearance list and if I was still in Michigan, I sooo would have headed 4 hours to the west to catch one of the cast members in Chi-Town. Too bad they aren't coming closer. Til tomorrow, happy Twilight dreams!!

Wacky Wednesday! Twicrack Edition

Thanks to Twicrack for the good laugh today.... I thought getting my Director's Notebook today was going to be the icing on my Twilight cake for today (by the way, love it, it was great... :) ) BUT, alas, I look and see that my story about my mom made Twicrack's blog post... LOL I love the pic of Dr. Cullen Twi! Thanks for always making us laugh as well... I called my mom and she is STILL confused as to how Dr. Cullen is a doctor... Oh man, I just need to get her to read the books... :)

Wal-Mart From what I have seen of the store set-up (a tv with a DVD set up at the Twilight display) and the fact that the lady at Customer Service asked if I was going to bring the beer for the party after she admitted she didn't have a clue that they were even HAVING a party (see earlier post). I am not sure about this one... hmmmmm but exclusive footage... giveaway... GRRRR lol

What are ya thinking Giggles? Try to hit all three? LOL We better get our rest now... :) Have a good night ya'll :)

Twilight Tuesday and a Young and Wild Weekend with the Eric Church Band!!!

Okay here goes! It was nice to be away from things for a bit and relax a little. Missed quite a bit of Twilight land. Kiff was quick to update me on my return. I wasn't completely away from the Twilight scene. I searched the shelves in hopes of finding Rob on the GQ cover. After a long search all I found was Justin Timberlake blah. I did find copies of Breaking Dawn, but fortunately I took my copy along to read on the plane. It definitely made the flight quicker. Since I have been back I found this amazing picture of Rob:) ------>

NOW FOR THE YOUNG AND WILD TOUR W/ THE ERIC CHURCH BAND


Well it all started in a little bar in downtown Grand Rapids called the Intersection. I absolutely love this bar. I have never missed an Eric Church Show there yet. The night began with some tunes from John Singleton. He is an amzing songwriter who helped pen "Watching Airplanes" than is sung by the great Gary Allan and "Don't" by Billy Currington. I just want to say that this is the first time (okay second because Lee Brice opened for Eric once and he is amazing) I haven't been bored out of my mind waiting for Eric to come out. I headed backstage for a bit and said hey to Eric and the boys. Got a group pic before they headed out on stage for night two of the Young and Wild Tour. I myself took my place up in front of the stage. The ECB took their respected spots on stage Ed and Jeff on the left and Lee and Driver on the right. Craig on the drums of course. They went through some old but good songs from "Sinners Like Me" and some new songs from "Carolina". My favs were "Where She Told Me To Go" and "Smoke a Little Smoke, Drink a Little Drink" (Which was written by Eric, Jeff and Driver). Here are a few pics for you to take a gander at!















Night Two: Clutch Cargo's

Let's just say this place was interesting. It was an old church that was turned into a bar hahaha. It was too funny but a really neat venue. I definitely got my exercise going all over trying to get the perfect shot of the boys. I managed to get some nice ones of the crowd and the band up front. The show was amazing and one of the best I have seen from Eric and the boys. I love being up front with all the drunk people safely behind the fence and nothing stopping me from the best shots I have taken so far. Here are a few shots from Clutch Cargos! Well after typing this last night I am sitting here depressed and angry. My computer ruined my memory card last night with over 900 pictures from this show on it so I don't have any of those to post. Here's hoping I can recover them. I'm keeping my finger crossed but I don't think they will survive:( Going to cry in the corner now.

ECB news and BNL Montage Video

As I sit and wait anxiously for giggles to return from her ECB wild weekend in MI... I had some time to work with my new video editing program and my videos from BNL last weekend... I decided to create a montage of some of the videos I have... I am loving all of the cool new effects that are on the program.... Cool stuff!

Oh yeah, a bit of Twilight news... At Wal-Mart I asked some associates about the Twilight DVD release party at my local store and got two responses, "I don't know about that..." and "We're having a party next Friday night? Are you gonna bring the beer?" I KID you NOT! :) Sooooo, I am wondering if I will be attending that party or the Hot Topic party.... HMMMM decisions, decisions...

Giggles, you let me know what you are thinking... I am waiting for ECB news too dude! lol

Whoa, I just checked out the blogs and I see that Rob made a visit to the Wal-Mart headquarters today... Thanks to Robsessed for the info and pic... We are going to Wal-Mart here in a bit for an oil change, Rob... make your rounds, see how many Wal-Marts you can visit in one day... Hubby and I will buy you a cookie and a slurpie while we wait for the car... LOL Oh my, my, my... hehe :)

I don't know why it makes me crack up hysterically, but I know that anyone who remotely likes Robert would at least chuckle... For example:



I think what mainly makes me laugh about this one is the look on the girl's face and the way the guy tries to put on a British accent.... LOL

Oh my, well, nonetheless, it is always nice to run across new Rob/Twilight videos and information... :) Thanks to all you bloggers out there who keep us all informed and drooling at times.... lol :)

Thursday Morning from the Great Lakes State!!

Since today is Never Think Thursday I had to post this for my best bud Kiff. Be on the lookout for this one on the shelves:) Too bad it isn't out this week when I am in the land of magazines galore at the airport. I would have had something to read cough cough and look at on the plane;). This is a really nice picture of Robert hehehe! As you can guess I made it safely to the great state of Michigan for a back to back Eric Church weekend. Stay tuned to hear more from my trip to see the Eric Church Band!

Music Monday- BNL Style!

Ohh yeah baby, Kiff is back and energized.... woo hoo Can I just say one thing, just onneee thing? Barenaked Ladies did me mighty proud on Saturday for Madri Gras at Universal Studios... I LOVED IT! As all fans would know, this was their first show without Steve... Although saddened, I did not even really "miss" him until they sang "Old Apartment" and that was well into the show... I am telling ya, the guys were at the top of their game and sang so many of my favorite songs (I am a huge Ed fan though...) The sound was superb, kudos to the sound people on this awesome night.... The guys were energized, hilarious as usual, and make me have a HUGE SMILE on my face almost the entire night... Thanks for that guys! ;) I did NOT want this concert to end and cannot wait until they tour this fall.... I have selected a few pictures to share with all of you and here is the slideshow link:

Never Think Thursday!

Okay Giggles here! I am sure the title of this blog sucks, but by the time Thursday comes around I stop thinking and am officially brain dead. So Thursday is the day where we just write something without thinking. I dropped the ball yesterday Kiff :( and didn't respond to your post about our boy Robert!! I don't know what the heck is wrong with me seriously. Lucky, no fair you look like Tina Fey. Well let's see what else can i think of to write about. How about that Eric Church guy. Well he officially starts his "Young and Wild Tour" next week. It should be an interesting concert going experience for all. Just look at that picture, how could you not love the ECB boys!!!
And hey that Marcus Foster guy has some good tunes thanks for having such a good ear and sending me his direction Kiff! Hopefully you will have some interesting reviews of the BNL concert soon! Can't Wait Kiff:)

Wacky Wednesday! 3/4/09

Well, here we are... Our first Wacky Wednesday for our blog... Since I have not posted yet about Twilight (I missed Twilight Tuesday darn it!).. Some of the best news of the day that I have heard is that this gentleman:

Started working on New Moon today in Canada.... Can I hear an OH YEAH? The only stinky thing is, I wonder how much he is actually going to be in the movie? Hmmmmm.... dang it, why did Edward have to leave Bella for a huge chunk of that book... lol

Now, here is the Wacky News... Rob has said that he thinks that Tina Fey is sexy right? (Kiff throws her hair back and pushes up her own Tina Feyish glasses... ahem) Well, how wacky is it that she called him the devil, and she said that he was actually a sexy devil recently?... She was on Jimmy Fallon last night and saw that she and Rob were in a shot at the Oscars recently and proceeded to call him a "sexy devil"... Jimmy corrected her and said that he was the "Twilight guy".. :) Correction... HE is the HOT Twilight guy, Jimmy... get that right.... ;)

Wonder what my buddy Giggles thinks of all this wackiness? What ya thinkin giggles? :)
